IAIJ to Cover Cost of Urgent Satellite Phone Calls!

An assortment of satellite phones!
As of February 27, 2016 the International Association of Independent Journalists Inc. (IAIJ) will cover the cost of satellite phone communication for IAIJ members who call our head office in Toronto Canada. You have to be an IAIJ member for reimbursement and the calls have to be of an urgent or emergency nature. The more expensive option of us calling a sat phone is at our expense as usual. We are also considering an ongoing satellite phone utility at IAIJ in Toronto. If we go with this utility it will be with Iridium though calls from sat phone to sat phone on different network links should not be a problem. We chose Iridium for their true global coverage anywhere in the world and low delay response in use.
