BIN LADEN CAPTURED!: THE TRUTH

By Maurice Ali, Journalist

Osama Bi Laden Captured! That is the rumor going around today. Supposedly he was captured by the States and this is being kept quiet since it would impact on U.S. President George Bush Jr.'s re-election bid for a second term. But is it real.....not until substantiated. Until then the answer must be no. However, a few rational thoughts will probably give you the truth.

After 911, Bin Laden's Moslem Clerics waved the religious ban on suicide/suicide assassination for Bin Laden. Bin Laden had risen to a cultural icon that exceeded the man himself; to be captured by the United States Of America and put on trial was an impossibility in their eyes. Therefore, under no circumstances was Bin Laden to be captured alive! Anyone with half a brain would have had one of his underlings (one of his son's was the logical choice) gun him down before capture; and Bin Laden himself would probably have had a gun or suicide pill in the surprise capture scenario. Therefore, tactically, the capture of Bin Laden alive would prove to be very difficult.

Secondly, how on earth could Bin Laden's capture be kept secret. I very much doubt that the Americans could have kept this a secret; and I very much doubt Al Qaeda would had been left in the dark..... Where are the suicide attempts to free Bin Laden? Were are the mass attacks against U.S. targets in the third world? It just does not make sense.

This news agency will not report anything definitive on Bin Laden unless substantiated. Of course, anything is possible.....but some are more possible than others. The most likely of all senarios is that Bin Laden died from lack of dialysis treatment in the bombing of Afganistan (he had kidney problems) and that his remains were destroyed several times over so as not to fall into American hands. The news of Bin Laden's death was reported by credible Pakistani Newspapers during the Afganistan war. While it was mentioned in the west, it was never substantiated. This would explain the "lack luster" effort on America's part to capture the man.....because they may also think he is dead.....

I could present you with all forms of possibilities as to the "truth" about Bin Laden. The real truth will only come out with real evidence. Don't believe everything you hear.
