IAIJ at the 2026 DIGITAL UNGA Event at the United Nations!

The Delegates’ Dining Room at the United Nations!
The International Association of Independent Journalists Inc. (IAIJ) is pleased to announce that we had a very productive time at the 2026 Digital UNGA event at the United Nations (September 21, 2026). Our representative was Maurice Ali who is the CEO of IAIJ and he has issued this short statement on the event:

Her Royal Highness, H.M. the Queen of the Belgians gives a speech!
“I am happy to announce to the Board of Directors and the general membership that IAIJ had a very successful time at the 2026 Digital UNGA event at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. This took place at the Delegates' Dining Room at the Secretariat Building. The event was hosted by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as well as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). On stage was the Secretary General of the ITU Doreen Bogdan-Martin and the Administrator of the UNDP Alexander De Croo to open the event. Her Royal Highness, H.M. the Queen of the Belgians (United Nations SDG Advocate) was at the event to give a speech. UNESCO was also in attendance with a speech by a representative for the event. Industry leaders, politicians, civil society and stakeholders of all kinds were there to speak about the top issues in the digital world including AI and its future. There were also awards given out to digital innovators. The event also had South Korean band "Big Ocean" giving a speech and performance for attendees! At the end was a reception for attendees to mingle and network.
