Police Reform Is Necessary
By Pankaj Kumar (India)
One century ago, it was considered that police administration should be alert law and order is good. But one century has passed and the people of India took a keen interest toward human rights. The attitude of the people is that the face of police should be humanistic. All the problems of the past with regard to police relations will therefore be solved. No doubt in the some matters the face of police is wild so the matter becomes worse, not good. So it was expected that the police administration should be reformed sooner rather than later. Organizations were created and committees were made in the name of this humanistic suggestion, but it is a matter of sorrow that heed was not given to it. It is now clear that police reform can only be brought into power by a renewed determination by all involved. Good administration is not possible without politeness and sensitiveness on the part of police forces in India. |
