The Word On The Street - 2005!

By Dalila A., Journalist

Dalila's first reporting job!

Word On The Street is a literary fair being held on this day September 25, 2005 in Toronto, Canada. Here, writers of all kinds get together to display their talents and interact with other writers and the public. We at Fortress Of Freedom, support such activities which promote the literary skills of writers from the general public. What will follow is a random look at the participants of this year's show.

We are a family of poets and we like to be at word on the street with all these wonderful writers, books and book sellers. It is just a great fair and a lovely place to be."

Literacy Connections

May Lai: "We are trying to promote Literacy Connections which is a resource for teaching parents how to read with their kids and different ways of Reading with their kids. The resources are entirely free and we are just trying to improve literacy across the country."
